A ‘Pineapple’ is not an ‘Apple’

The Founding Generation's political vocabulary was based on their knowledge of classical history and the quest for self-determination. Much of the words we use these days bear little resemblance to their original form. These key definitions will help you break the spell that has been cast on key words to disguise totalitarian ideas as forward thinking (i.e., ‘progressive’) and limit the public's ability to discuss individual liberty as a universal civic value.
